DATAG focuses on fulfilling its mission of assuming a leadership role for New York State educators. That mission is achieved through conferences and member meetings that help administrators and faculty understand how educational data is interpreted.



A. Provide a leadership role in identifying, cataloging and modeling best practices in the analysis and use of data for New York schools.

B. Assist schools in understanding performance assessments in order to effect changes in curriculum and instruction to meet New York educational standards.

C. Support the use of data to inform and improve curriculum, instruction and assessment, as well as guide professional development and district comprehensive or strategic planning.

A group of New York State education experts that provides leadership by identifying, cataloging and modeling best practices in the analysis and use of school data. The NY Schools Data Analysis Technical Assistance Group guides professional development by assisting schools in understanding performance assessments which creates change in the instruction of curriculum and helps institutions meet New York educational standards.
